Smallest & Cutest RCD/RCM Device: MD0630T01A-2

Pulished on Jan. 12, 2022

In the past, we have been introducing our MD series vertical installation leakage current protection sensor, horizontal installation leakage current protection sensor (pin type leakage current sensor, pin header type leakage current sensor, and pin header type integrated leakage current sensor) to customers for our AC and DC charging piles. Let everyone know that in addition to leakage protectors, residual current sensors, residual current transformers, and leakage current detection equipment, there are also products that meet Type B measurement and meet CE-EMC, IEC62955 standards. Today, we will put aside these products that have received a large number of inquiries and purchases from overseas customers, and solemnly launch an ultra-small size leakage current protection sensor, which is specially designed for AC portable handheld charger.

Feature 1: Small but powerful

As more and more electric vehicles appear on the road in China, everyone also has obvious anxiety about electricity consumption. Therefore, many people will buy portable chargers for home use in addition to charging at the charging station. It is conceivable that everyone is not worried about people getting electrocuted, or worried about the charging failure or damage of the car. This kind of small-sized charger is the general trend, so the leakage protector inside is even more compact. The size of a U disk and the weight of about 35 grams, but it can act as RCD, RCM function + support setting AC and DC alarm threshold + push-pull output, output electronic signal to switch and realize on-off.

At the same time, we once again introduce what is RCD/RCM, and what is push-pull output, so that you can better understand our new products. RCD is a residual current operated protective device, the English full name is residual current operated protective device, commonly known as leakage protector. RCM is residual current monitoring equipment, the English full name of residual current monitor is commonly known as leakage monitoring equipment. The installation of residual current protectors, leakage current monitors, and leakage protector sensors in the low-voltage power grid is an effective protective measure to prevent personal electric shock, electrical fire and damage to electrical equipment. A push-pull output is a circuit that uses a pair of devices that selectively sink or source current from a connected load. It often uses a pair of power transistors or MOSFETs with the same parameters to exist in the circuit in a push-pull manner. A push-pull circuit uses two transistors or MOSFETs with the same parameters to exist in the circuit in a push-pull manner. When the circuit is working, only one of the two symmetrical switching tubes is turned on at a time, so the conduction loss is small and the efficiency is high. The output can either sink current into the load or draw current from the load. The push-pull output stage not only increases the load capacity of the circuit, but also increases the switching speed.

Feature 2: ACDC integrated, TYPE B measurement

There are too many RCD RCMs on the market that can only detect AC or DC, and it is rare to combine the two. Although ours is really small, we do have AC and DC detection in one. If you want to make your DC charging pile more compact and lighter, you can also choose. Usually when the DC 6mA AC 30mA output signal to the switch and cut off, so as to ensure personal and equipment safety. Of course, you can also set it to 10mA 15mA, the current DC setting range is 2-15mA, and the AC setting range is 6-30mA.

Feature 3: Many choices, easy installation

If you are not a charging pile manufacturer, as long as you have requirements related to leakage protection, it can be used. Our MD series has more than 7 models for you to choose from. They vary in function, size, and installation method, but they are all easy to install. For example, this small leakage protector is pin-mounted.

Of course, we have other selling points worth sharing, for example, they all meet CE-EMC test and IEC62955 related standards and so on. Looking forward to your discovery of more exciting things, if you have any needs, please visit www.ivy-metering.com or leave us a message.
