Product Overview
MD0630T01A is an automotive-grade leakage current sensor called residual current monitoring (RCM), residual current detection (RCD), and differential current sensor. The core advantages of leakage current sensors (such as the MD0630T01A with UART Comm and Modbus Protocol) lie in their high sensitivity, accurate measurement, compact size, and high integration.
They are particularly suitable for EV charging stations (IC-CPD or Wallbox), capable of detecting AC and DC leakage current (Type B protection), effectively replacing expensive and bulky Type B residual current circuit breakers, saving valuable installation space and costs. Flexible Application Scenarios: Suitable for applications requiring monitoring of AC/DC residual current, such as EV chargers, industrial robots, power distribution units, marine boats, and PV inverters.

Product Features
Comprehensive Detection (Type B Protection): Capable of simultaneously detecting both AC and DC leakage current, overcoming the limitation of traditional Type A residual current devices in identifying DC fault current.
High Precision and Sensitivity: Utilizing ring current sensor technology, the MD0630T01A model achieves a main current measurement range down to the microampere level (starting from mA), ensuring stable data even in complex industrial environments.
High Integration and Space Saving: Designed for PCB soldering or compact structures (small size), it integrates directly onto the charging controller or circuit board, eliminating the need for external large leakage current protectors.
Cost-effective and Efficiency Improvement: Its highly reliable DC detection function eliminates the need for charging pile manufacturers to install expensive Type B RCCBs, significantly reducing the overall material cost of charging equipment (IC-CPD/wall box).

IVY Type B RCD Series

To satisfy new standards includeIEC 62955, IEC 62752, IEC 61851-1, and UL 2231-1, etc, the charging of electric vehicles requires leakage current sensors to avoid hazardous situations in cases where the vehicle battery(DC) is connected to the home power supply(AC). Generally, AC DC Sensitive residual current sensors can be used where DC and AC circuits are directly connected, and AC/DC leakage currents occur. Our EVSE components would be required to guarantee safety in the event of DC fault current.
