Product Details

MD0630STA‑P is certified as a Class B RCD/RCM module for EVSE applications. It is a cost‑effective, standards‑compliant Class B residual current detection module for PCB installation. MD0630STA‑P-EV module appears to meet IEC 62955 requirements (30 mA AC + 6 mA DC detection).

IVY Metering's RCD/RCM technology helps minimize the risk of electric shock while charging electric vehicles. RCD products detect AC and DC fault currents and quickly trigger fault outputs to disable charging currents and eliminate the risk of electric shock. More than ten RCD models are available with built-in RCD technology that comply with international CE CB TUV UL and IEC standards for EV charging stations, Industrial and Commercial Facilities, DC Panel, Boats and Marines, and Renewable energy systems, etc.

MD0630STA-P Integration 6mA DC Earth Leakage Fault CT Type B RCD Protection Residual Current Sensor Device

Typical Features

Safety: RCDs are primarily safety devices designed to prevent electric shock, electrical fire, and equipment damage. They continuously monitor circuits for current imbalances, detecting faults and residual current leakage.

Alarm Mechanism: When a fault or leakage current is detected, the RCD will output a alarm signal. This action is rapid, usually within milliseconds, to prevent accidents.

Sensitivity: Residual current device sensor are highly sensitive and can detect even small current imbalances (usually in the milliamp (mA) range), ensuring early detection of faults.

Compatibility: They can be integrated into a variety of electrical installations, including residential, commercial and industrial systems. Different sensitivity settings are available to suit different applications.

Self-testing: Some modern Residual current device sensor include self-testing mechanisms to ensure their continued functionality.

Resilience: Residual current device sensor are designed to operate reliably even in harsh environmental conditions, making them suitable for outdoor and industrial applications.

Widely Application

Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging: Residual current device sensor are critical in EV charging infrastructure to prevent ground faults, leakage, and shock hazards during the charging process. They are often integrated into residential and public charging stations.

Industrial and Commercial Facilities: RCDs play a vital role in industrial and commercial settings, protecting people and equipment from electrical faults. They are used in manufacturing facilities, construction sites, and large commercial operations.

Boats and Marines: RCDs are installed on boats and vessels to protect against electric shock in wet and conductive environments.

Renewable energy systems: In photovoltaic (solar) and wind power systems, RCDs are used to detect and respond to earth faults, maintaining the safety of the system and maintenance personnel.
